There is no lending fee.
The standard lending period is 28 days. Magazines can only be kept for 14 days.
If there are no prebookings, you can renew your media up to six times.
You can renew the lending period of your media via our webcatalogue. We will be happy to assist you. To contact us, dial 07361/576-4803, -4801 or -4805. You can also send us an email to Bitte JavaScript aktivieren. or come around personally during our opening hours.
If the lending period exceeds every medium will be charged with 1,50€ seven days after the expiry date.
After 10 more days 5€ will be added per medium.
In the following dunning level another 5€ will mature.

This is possible via our webcatalogue. Click on the button ‘my account’ and log in. You will see all lended media and lending periods.
Yes, you may send back media per mail. However, please notice that you take the shipping risk then. If a medium gets lost during shipping, you have to replace it.
Yes, you can do this via our webcatalogue. When you have found the desired medium just click on the button ‘Hold request’ and log in. We will contact you by email as soon as the booked medium gets returned. We will deposit it for you at the desk for seven days.
Yes, you will be automatically notified via e-mail or mail.
You can order non-available media via interlibrary loan. Please sight the interlibrary-loan-flyer for detailed information or contact Silke Egelhof directly.

A lost identification card can be misused by others!
Please contact us if you don’t retrieve a medium even after thorough searching. We will grant you an extended loan period first. If the medium doesn’t appear after all, financial damage has to be paid in amount of the replacement value.
As member of the university you can lend with your students- or university-ID card. If you are an external customer, just come around and take a valid identification card with you. The library staff will create a library ID for you. You can print the application form (German only) and bring it filled in, if you like to.

Yes, there are study desks with internet access and power sockets in the library. You can bring your own device or lend a laptop from the library team. For quick research, you can use one of the computers in front of the desk.
All licensed databases can be used via the interlending- and research portals.
They are free of charge and can be used from every PC on the campus. If you are member of the university off-campus access is possible, too (e. g. from your computer at home).
Therefore, you need a VPN (virtual private network) software. It allows you to connect your computer to the campus network. To use the VPN, you will need to download and install a small application. For further information see this file (German) or send an e-mail to the Library.

Yes, you can print several pages or small documents at the research computers in front of the desk on the ground floor. However, the available printer isn’t very productive. Please use the printers in the data pools of the study courses for large documents.
